Sharing our passion for coffee by serving you handcrafted beverages at our cafes is only a very small part of specialty coffee. There's so much that goes into creating quality coffee, so many steps along the way that impact what we ultimately taste in the cup. And so, we have much to share with and teach you. We couldn't be more excited!

Coffee 101: The Basics

From plant to the cup, learn about all the basic steps coffee goes through and what makes it taste so good.  This course will include an in-depth coffee tasting or “cupping” as a hands on component of the course.  Bring a friend to learn and taste with at this fun, interactive course!

Brewing 101

This class offers hands-on training for three different brewing methods (French press, pour over, and aeropress), giving students knowledge and skills needed to brew fantastic coffee at home.  We will cover basic terminology, brewing concepts, and techniques for each brewing method.  In addition, each participant will receive a sample bag of beans & a discount on in-store coffee merchandise purchases.

Iced Coffee 101

Iced coffee is delicious…but how do you make it???   We get asked this question all the time, and the answer is: there are several ways! Come learn about these various methods and taste the differences during this fun and interesting course.

Espresso 101

In this class, students learn the basic principles and basic equipment needed to make espresso through preparing, tasting, and evaluating espresso.  The course concludes with an introduction to steaming milk for classic espresso beverages.  Each participant works directly with our instructors, guaranteeing plenty of hands-on practice with espresso dosing and distribution, tamping, making proper grind adjustments, texturing milk, and learning about proper equipment cleaning and maintenance.

Fun With Latte Art

Admit it, designs in your cup just make it more fun and, somehow, more delicious. Learn from our skilled baristas how to make these cool designs using “free-pour” latte art techniques in this fun and HANDS ON class!
